The
Team
DeWinter
Communications is a virtual communications agency headed by marketing/PR
veteran Courtney DeWinter. The purpose of the virtual agency approach
is to provide the highest level of expertise at the most cost-effective
rates. This approach allows even small and mid-sized companies access
to agency-level expertise without paying agency rates, heavy account administration
costs, and heavy mark-up fees on expenses. (Typical agency mark-ups are
17-20%, and more.) In short, there are some great professionals and great
people who are available to be part of your account team.

team:
Market research
- Marcy P. is exactly the type
of person you want to oversee your research needs. She’s thorough, precise, and knows
how to find the critical data you need to justify business plans,
marketing plans,
and campaigns. Marcy has a master’s degree in library and
information services from the University of Denver. She also apprenticed
for nearly two years with a veteran market researcher. Her research
services have helped businesses assess market and product potential,
minimize risk, and improve long-term planning. And after years of
driving a minivan, she’s really excited about her hot
new convertible.
Graphic design
- Jason O. – Jason recently was named to the
Denver Business Journal’s “40
Under 40” list for being a mover and shaker within his field.
Jason has served as an agency principal, an adjunct professor in design
at Metro State College of Denver, and recently was commissioned to
co-write a book on design trends. He’s got a great laugh,
a ton of energy, and has won more design awards than you could
count. And his vast
collection
of vintage comic books and action toys will fill you with shock
and
awe.
- Ellen S. – Ellen is a veteran designer with a classy, thoughtful
approach that’s the result of also obtaining a Masters in
Communications. She looks like a cool Hitchcock blonde, but don’t
be fooled. Her designs are strategic and HOT.
- Marty G.– Marty
has been working as a designer so long that it’s hard to think
he was ever a beginner. He has roughly 25 years of experience in
design, and has worked locally, regionally
and nationally on high-profile projects. He also has put a strong
stamp on Denver, and you will find evidence of his work reflected
in many well-known landmarks, buildings, and signage systems. We’re
long-time friends and colleagues, and we can pretty much finish
each other’s sentences as we’re brainstorming.
- Lynn M. – Lynn
has a gorgeous studio that overlooks the foothills leading to the
mountains, and she’s as solid as the Rockies.
Creative. Honest. Fast-working, and affordable (although she’s
got 15 years of experience).
Web developers
- David G. – David is a talented Web designer who handles modest to mid-size projects as a free-lancer. He has excellent design skills -- for Web and print applications. He specializes in taking ho-hum sites and turning them into something that's relevant for the particular business, and yet has pizzaz and a fresh, new feel.
- Doug H. – Doug looks and talks like a scientist. But you’ll
be thrilled at the precision and care he applies when designing and
building Web sites. They work the minute they “go live.” And
he’s always there with ideas to help modify them and keep
them fresh as the years roll by.
Photographers
- Frank O. – Frank’s portfolio features an incredible array
of people portraits from the far corners of the world, as well as
some of the best architectural photography you’ll find in this
region and beyond. Frank used to be an architect, so he understands
all that stuff about lines, planes, angles, and light. He’s
been known to camp in one spot for hours waiting for just the right
light. This results in incredible photographs that highlight your
facility’s best attributes. Frank is European and you could
say he’s the James Bond of photographers: literate, elegant,
action-oriented, and a thorough pleasure to have on a long shoot.
(Where’s the martini?)
- Kim C. – If anyone can liven up a group of people or get them
to adopt just the right attitude and position, Kim is your photographer.
She’s not afraid to climb on scaffolding or get down on her
knees in the dirt (usually in her white trousers) to get the right
angle for the shot. She’s done work for a great many annual
reports and has a real gift for working with people to get expressions
so powerful or poignant, they’ll make your jaw drop.
- Jim
Y. – Jim is a veteran photographer who’s
made an elegant switch from film to digital – so he has
great abilities to work with light and weird conditions, while
also being able to shoot digitally
and do Photoshop with the best of them. He’s got a grin
as wide as the Grand Canyon, a portfolio the size of the Grand
Canyon,
and
he always gets the shot.
